Murray Farmcare Joins UF
Following the acquisition of Murray Farmcare by Harbro at the beginning of this month, we are delighted to confirm that, Murray Farmcare, have now become an additional member of United Farmers as they continue to trade independently within the Harbro Group.
The following is an extract from the press release
Two well-known and well-established agricultural businesses come together to strengthen their offering to the farming and rural community.
The Harbro Group is delighted to announce the acquisition of Murray Farmcare Ltd.
Murray Farmcare is a successful independent group of country stores based in Dumfriesshire and the North of England.
“Murray Farmcare has a very similar offering and audience to Harbro, so it is a perfect fit and will allow us to expand our retail and on farm sales in the South of Scotland and over the border into the North of England” commented Chris Baxter, Harbro Managing Director.
Harbro manufactures and supplies an extensive range of products, from livestock feed, buckets, and blocks through to a variety of pet ranges, which will complement the current Murray Farmcare portfolio.
“We look forward to joining the Harbro group and offering the Murray Farmcare customer base a broader variety of products and services,” comments Andrew Cairns, Murray Farmcare Managing Director.
Chris goes on to say “We have the shared ethos of providing excellent customer service, advice and value for money. The business will continue to trade as Murray Farmcare Ltd and we look forward to welcoming the Murray Farmcare team to the Harbro Group and continuing the success of both businesses.”
